Group coaching has been highly requested by Kajabi users, and two years after releasing single coaching sessions, group coaching is finally here!

Kajabi's group coaching feature allows you to offer scheduled group coaching sessions to your clients, either as a standalone program, or as part of a course or bigger program. 

The main difference between Kajabi's Group Coaching product and the 1:1 Coaching product, is that you, as the coach, schedule the sessions, whereas with 1:1 coaching, the client schedules each session.

With both options, your client can add their own notes, access your shared notes and any resources. With 1:1 sessions, your client can add agenda items, but with Group Coaching, only you as the coach can add to the agenda.

Setting Up Group Coaching

Setting up group coaching in Kajabi is simple and straightforward. You start by creating a new coaching product with a unique title and image.

Then, you can choose between one-to-one or group coaching.

Once you select group coaching, you follow the normal process for setting up a new product, including choosing your pricing. Once that is complete, you can then customise your new group coaching program

Customising Group Coaching

Within the group coaching product, you have the main product, then you create groups from the product, which is what your clients will then be able to access.

Firstly, you need to customise your session outline for your coaching sessions in the main product. These outlines serve as a framework for each group.

Additionally, you can then customise each session within each the group coaching group that you create, allowing you to tailor the content to the specific needs of your clients.

So you have the main product - Group Coaching, then you create new groups from the main product - Groups.

You can have as many groups as you want - for example November 2023, December 2023 etc

It can be a little tricky to know whether you're changing the settings for the Group Coaching product or an individual Group, as they look so similar (because the Group is essentially a copy of the Group Coaching product - but only for a specific cohort of people).

Benefits of Group Coaching

Group coaching is particularly beneficial when you have a set number of sessions, such as in a cohort-based course or a 6 session coaching program. It allows you to offer a structured program with a clear timeline.

Furthermore, group coaching enables you to segment your clients and provide replay or coaching access only to those who are part of a specific group, which can be advantageous when offering different sessions or replays.

It's also a way you can have a course + coaching tiered offer. The base tier gets the course product and the VIP tier get the course AND the coaching product (with a new group each time you run it),

Alternative Options

If you're on a basic plan and group coaching isn't available to you, don't worry! There are workarounds to achieve a similar outcome.

You can create a course product alongside your coaching program and include the coaching sessions as separate modules within the course.

This way, you can still provide access to replays and segment the content for specific groups.

If you're using Kajabi Communities, you can run live rooms and host the replays inside the community.
